Valentine's Day…

Yup, that dreadful day was yesterday…being a single is not easy during that time, but surprisingly I got away without any hurt feelings or a need to punch someone in the face xD It turned out to be a day like every other day too; I was "working" with my friends on our "future" video, that we had already more or less long planned to shoot. I won't give away what it's all about; maybe one day you'll see for yourself =) But because I knew exactly that it was Valentine's Day (my bestie "pretended" to not know what is happening in the world ;)), I wanted to dress to look the part and so here you have it, my V-Day inspired outfit^^

the caged bird?

Long time no see xD I've been sick for quite some time now, more precisely: I had a flu. Adding to this I had my end of semester exams and I'm in my 1 month vacation, but so far I couldn't profit from it -.- So here I am, on my way to being healthy again (especially my lungs need to get fit again), with an outfit post for you =)

I don't know exactly how to explain this, but the jumper has a nice shape, it slightly looks like a skater dress but at the same time it doesn't xD I found it in the back of my wardrobe after searching for a warm jumper since we have around -10°C here! *freezing* I haven't worn it in ages and I have the same one in grey too^^ Somehow I never realized that I actually like them or I just wore them in a way I didn't really like it, who knows…=)

just a little green, like the color in the spring…=)

Online shopping, where would I be without you?! Certainly not owning this dress xD I love this dress! I love it so much, that I even got it in black, but I love it less in black xD (I will show it to you soon^^) The color was the very first reason why I really wanted to get it! This green, I don't even know the name of it, I simply love it: it's bright, it's bold and it's unusual xD and that's exactly what I like^^ The cut of the dress is something I like too, but I should have got it in a smaller size, to show it off better. "Send it back" I hear you say? Sending stuff back has always been a dread for me, so no, I will live with this^^ Anyways, people seem to like it because I got some lovely comments about it, so yeah…x) It's a very good "everyday dress", especially for "lazy" days where you just have no inspiration!=)

I wore this outfit to university on the last day of the winter semester. It was a day of mixed feelings…First, I was excited to go because there were some "Christmas Lectures" I wanted to attend, but then in the morning, I didn't feel so good after all and was in a "blah -.-" mood, thinking of all the people I got to know throughout this semester who were here just for 1 Erasmus/Abroad semester…It hit me that we won't have classes together next semester and that I probably will never see them again since they live so far away; it made me a bit sad. I went after all, was too late for any class there was, but I had my friends who made a great job to cheer me up again xD So yeah…=)

☃ I'll be home for Christmas… ☃

I had a very nice and lovely Christmas at home with my family =) I forgot to load my camera's battery in advance, so I don't have any fancy pictures =( But I was able to take some in the evening of what I wore…x)

The story behind the dress: I went to H&M. I saw it. I loved it. I tried it (and took this picture). It was awesome, but there was only one dress left: one size smaller than mine with a broken zipper. I was disappointed. I wanted the dress! On Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th) I did my last round of shopping and I went to H&M to fetch my sisters a dress and I browsed through the women's clothes and there it was! My size, without a broken zipper, without anything flaw and I bought that baby!xD Of course I had to wear it on Christmas!xD

Merry (Belated) Christmas!=)

Becky goes 1920s

Hey there! It has been more than a month, but I'm still alive xD

On Thursday (08.12.11), I went to see a play called "Our Town/Luxembored?" acted by my university's theater-drama club "Edudrame". The play was ok up to good, but there were a few moments where I lost interest in it. Afterwards, there was a 1920s soirée in a café close to the theatre. Even before we went to see the play, we invaded a Finnish Erasmus student's room *hei Emmi!=)* to get dressed and we messed a bit around x) We exchanged clothes and jewels and we made one another's hair and tried to put on our make-up. The night itself was a blast!=) Much fun dancing to 20s music, many dressed up people and my friends!xD Emmi tried to teach us how to dance the Charleston, but I can't do it to save my life^^ (Only down-side: the cigarette stench! I can't wait that the Government decides on banning cigarettes in cafés and restaurants!)

The wizard and I.

It wasn't intended, it just happened!
